
Chestnut and dried fruit cake: autumn recipe
Autumn is here, the season that marks the return of cold and rain. But without everything is bad news. Autumn is also the season of chestnuts and dried fruit that do so well to our health.
That’s why we think: how about publishing a recipe to add these ingredients? So, here’s a recipe of chestnut and fried fruits cake from TeleCulinária.
To make this cake you will need:
- 500 g peeled chestnuts
- 200 g sugar
- 150 g dried fruit (almonds, walnuts, raisins, etc.)
- 100 g Flour
- 6 Eggs
- 1 dl Olive oil
- 1 spoon (dessert) baking powder
- 1 pinch of salt
- Margarine to grease
- Flour to sprinkle
- Powdered sugar for sprinkling
(Note: measures for 6 persons).

Good. Now follow these steps:
Cook the chestnuts in water seasoned with a pinch of salt, drain it and pass it through the pastry. Grease a hole shape with margarine and sprinkle it with flour. Turn on the oven at 180 degrees.
In a bowl, beat the olive oil very well with the sugar and the eggs until it becomes a fluffy cream. Then add the chestnut puree, the flour and the yeast and beat again very well. Add the coarsely chopped nuts and wrap.

Pour the previous mixture into the mould and bake for about 40 minutes or until cooked. Remove from the oven, leave to cool, remove from the mould and serve sprinkled with icing sugar and decorated to taste.
